The mission of the Forge Foundation is to democratize success - by reaching every learner.
Reaching every learner requires a model that leaves the door open to all students irregardless of their ability to pay, provides learning experiences where specific knowledge transfer and experience are required and allows learners to follow their own passions.
We execute through three critical pathways:
VARIABLE TUITION
Forge is committed to socioeconmic diversity and we value equity.
We offer an annual tuition scale that ranges from $25,000-$2,500. Tuition is designed to align to a family's income.
By offering this variable tution, we have a broader reach and it also means we have to cover gaps in our operating expenses.
The overall cost to educate one Forge student is $27,500.
LEARNING GUIDES
Forge hires Learning Guides that are not only certified educators, but came to education through professions outside of public education. This depth of experience combined with being certified educators, provides for deep expertise and experience. Forge pays its Learning Guides as the professionals they are.
EQUIPMENT & EXPERTISE INVESTMENTS
The Forge studio model requires us to have state-of-the-art equipment on hand. 3D modeling software, CNC machine, design software, computer workstations for coding. In Multimedia we require equipment for filmmaking and editing as well as design stations, in Build we require tools.
In addition to our equipment needs, we bring in experts-in-residence to provide the students with in-depth learning experiences that are supplemented by outside experts.
